Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers were a Jamaican-American reggae family group formed in 1979 and consisted of the children of musicians Rita Marley and Bob Marley. They began under the name the Melody Makers, recording the single “Children Playing in the Streets” (1979) for the United Nations, and later released their debut album Play the Game Right (1985), followed by Hey World! (1986).
