Zhou Xuan, born Su Pu on August 1, 1920 in Changzhou, China, was a singer and actress. At age 13, she adopted the stage name Zhou Xuan. She began her career as a member of Li Jinhui's Bright Moon Song and Dance Troupe in 1932. In 1935, Zhou started her film career and achieved stardom with Street Angel (1937), where she sang "Four Seasons Song" and "The Wandering Songstress".
