Zebra, an American hard rock band, was founded in 1975 in New Orleans,
Louisiana. The group consisted of Randy Jackson on guitars and lead vocals,
Felix Hanemann on bass, and Guy Gelso on drums. Initially known as Maelstrom,
the trio started as a cover band playing technically proficient rock groups such
as Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. They adopted the name Zebra in 1975 after seeing
a magazine cover featuring a woman riding a zebra. The band's breakthrough came
with their eponymous debut album Zebra, released on Atlantic Records in 1983,
which featured the singles "Tell Me What ...
