Márta Záray, born on August 28, 1926, in Tatabánya, Hungary, was a singer known
for her contributions to Hungarian dance music. She graduated from the state
drama school in 1946 and began singing regularly at the EMKE café in Budapest's
VII district in 1950, where she gained popularity and met her future husband,
singer János Vámosi. Záray released several notable albums, including Táncdalok
(1955) and Vámosi – Gól! (1985). She is known for the song "Tatabányai lány", a
tribute to her hometown of Tatabánya. Záray was recognized with the SZOT Award
