Zachary Breaux
Zachary Breaux, born on June 26, 1960, in Port Arthur, Texas, was an American
jazz guitarist. His career began in the 1980s as a session musician, working
with notable artists such as Stanley Turrentine, Jack McDuff, Donald Byrd,
Lonnie Liston Smith, and Dee Dee Bridgewater. In 1984, Breaux started a long
collaboration with vibraphonist Roy Ayers. His debut album as a leader,
Groovin', was released in 1992 and is considered his best work by critics. Laid
Back (1994) showcased his more commercial side but received mixed reviews.
