Álvaro Yuri Alberto da Cunha, known as Yuri da Cunha (born September 13, 1980 in
Sumbe, Angola), is an Angolan singer. He began performing at the age of ten and
released his first CD in 1993. His influences include André Mingas, Carlos
Burity, Eduardo Paím, and Michael Jackson. In 2004, he won that year’s Top Rádio
Luanda with the song "Makumba." He has released several albums, including Eu
