Yoohei Kawakami, born 22 June 1982 in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, is a Japanese rock
singer, guitarist, composer, lyricist and actor. After a formative period in
Syria and attendance at an American school where he first studied classical
guitar, Yoohei Kawakami returned to Japan, attended Aoyama Gakuin University,
and co‑founded the band Champagne while working as a sales representative.
Following a brief corporate stint, Yoohei Kawakami resigned in 2010 to focus on
music, and in 2012 Champagne released the independent single "Feel Like", which
