Jackson Wan Kwong, born Lữ Minh Quang on 23 August 1944 in Cholon, Saigon, was a
Vietnamese-born Hong Kong singer who trained in Cantonese opera before
transitioning into local pop and city-life songs. He began his Hong Kong music
career in the 1970s with songs whose lyrics often reflected the everyday lives
of ordinary people in the city. In 1982 he issued the album 發發發, followed by
七個小矮人、又話俾家鄉知 in 1983–84, further establishing his presence in the local music
