An unsuccessful contestant on the Nouvelle star TV show, which nonetheless
revealed his talent in 2008, singer-songwriter Ycare, born Assane Attyé in
Dakar, Senegal, on September 21, 1983, bounced back with his debut album Au Bord
du Monde, released the following year to great acclaim (ranked no. 21). The
following album, Lumière Noire (2011), consolidated his audience (No. 30) and
placed him among the talents to watch of the new generation of songwriters. In
