Yakuza was a rock band formed in 1999. Their initial recordings included the
demo Thursdays in Hell. After adding bassist Eric Clark and saxophonist Bruce
Lamont, Yakuza debuted with the album Amount to Nothing (2000). The band
released their second album, Way of the Dead (2002), and their albums include
Samsara (2006) and Transmutations (2007). The latter featured collaborations
with jazz percussionists Hamid Drake and Michael Zerang. Their album Of Seismic
Consequence was released in 2010.
