Wyatt Rice, born on January 6, 1965, in Long Beach, California, is an American
guitarist and bluegrass musician. He began playing guitar at age six, learning
from his father Herb Rice. At 17, Wyatt Rice joined his brother Tony Rice's
band, the Tony Rice Unit. In 1990, he released his debut solo album New Market
Gap on Rounder Records. Throughout his career, Rice has collaborated with
various artists and formed several bands, including Santa Cruz in 1995, which
