Wolfgang Seeliger, born on May 30, 1946, in Heidelberg, Germany, is a conductor
and choirmaster. He studied at the Salzburg Mozarteum and University of Salzburg
under notable mentors including Hans Swarowsky and Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
Wolfgang Seeliger assisted Sir Colin Davis in 1983 and collaborated with Leonard
Bernstein from 1984 to 1990 on his concerts and recordings in Germany. He
founded the Konzertchor Darmstadt in 1977, served as artistic director of the
Sommerspiele Jagdschloss Kranichstein from 1994 to 2000, and established the
