Winnie Mashaba, born on April 1, 1981, in Kgoši Phasha, Steelpoort, South
Africa, sings and writes gospel music. Mashaba left school after passing Grade
11 in 1998 to pursue music, and a breakthrough came after auditioning for Solly
Moholo. This led to the release of the debut album Exodus 20 (2000). Mashaba
released several albums, including Kea Letshaba Lefase (2007), Ditebogo (2007),
and Go Tseba Jehova (2010). Mashaba was nominated for a Kora for Best African
Spiritual Female in 2005, and was named Best Female Artist at the Crown Gospel
