Willie and the Poor Boys was a British supergroup that formed in 1985. The
ensemble was an all-star project initiated by the Rolling Stones bassist Bill
Wyman, with a name that paid tribute to the 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revival
album Willy and the Poor Boys. The group’s lineup included the drummer Charlie
Watts and the guitarist Andy Fairweather-Low, alongside guest contributors such
as Jimmy Page, Ray Cooper, and Chris Rea. They released their debut eponymous
