White Lion
White Lion was formed in New York City in 1983 by Danish vocalist Mike Tramp and
guitarist Vito Bratta. The duo recruited drummer Nicki Capozzi and bassist
Felix Robinson, and the band signed with Elektra Records, releasing Fight to
Survive in 1985 after a difficult recording process that led to Elektra
terminating the contract. The single "Broken Heart" introduced the group to the
American market. In 1987, Pride was released under Atlantic Records; the single
"Wait" peaked at Number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100, and "When the Children Cry"
