Johann “Hans” Kreuzmayr, known professionally as Waterloo, was born on 27 November 1945 in Altheim, Austria. After training as a carpenter and running a woman's fashion boutique, he entered the music scene in the late 1960s, forming the duo Waterloo & Robinson with Sepp Krassnitzer. Their first major hit came in 1974 with "Baby Blue", followed by the Eurovision entry "My Little World" in 1976, where the pair secured fifth place.
