Warren Defever is an American musician and producer who was born in Livonia,
Michigan, in 1969. He is famous for his chameleonic project His Name Is Alive
and for his extensive production and engineering work for artists including Iggy
and the Stooges, Yoko Ono, and Thurston Moore. Defever achieved early
professional recognition as the bassist for the psychobilly ensemble Elvis
Hitler. He founded the home record label timeSTEREO and established the
