Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, known professionally as Wale, was born on
September 21, 1984, in Washington D.C., United States of America. He is an
American rapper and singer of Nigerian descent. Wale's musical journey began
with his first single "Rhyme of the Century," which gained local radio play. His
breakthrough came in 2006 with the release of "Dig Dug (Shake It)," a song that
