Wei Chen (born 22 February 1986 in Lanzhou, Gansu, China) is a Chinese pop
singer who first gained national attention as a contestant on the 2007 season of
the televised competition Super Boy, where he finished in third place. After the
show, he released his debut extended play Optimist and held his first solo
concert in 2007. In 2008 he ventured into acting with a role in the film
Seventeen and a leading part in the musical Struggle. The following year, his
