Vinnie Caruana, born September 25, 1979, is an American singer. He began his
music career with The Movielife, a Long Island melodic hardcore band formed in
1997. The band released three EPs and two full-length albums before disbanding
in 2003. Caruana also fronted I Am the Avalanche, a Brooklyn-based post-hardcore
band, which was part of Cardboard City, a New York-based collective led by Daryl
Palumbo. In 2013, Caruana released his debut solo EP City By the Sea. He
