Vincent Ségal, born April 27, 1967 in Reims (Marne), is a French cellist, double
bassist, composer and producer. He studied at the Conservatoire de Reims and the
Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, where he won a
first prize, before moving to Paris. There, he collaborated with numerous
musicians from classical, contemporary, jazz, rock and African genres. He made
his name with the duo Bumcello, formed with Cyril Atef, who won a Victoire de la
