Verónica Judith Sáinz Castro, known professionally as Verónica Castro, was born
on October 19, 1952, in Mexico City. She began her career at 15, studying acting
under Andrés Soler and appearing in photonovelas like Citas y Chicas. Her
breakthrough came with the telenovela Los ricos también lloran (1979), where she
sang the theme song "Aprendí a llorar". This role brought international
