Verde 70, a rock band from Quito, Ecuador, formed in 1999 with Darío Castro,
David Arízaga, and Diego Saá. The trio initially performed under the name Alegre
Depresión and released a demo featuring seven original songs, including "Un
minuto" and "Palabras". In December 1998, they won a contest that allowed them
to open for the Colombian band Los de Adentro, marking their breakthrough
moment. This led to the release of their debut album Alegre Depresión in
February 2000, which included the hit single "Me tienes, me puedes, dueles" and
other notable tracks like "Muriendo por tu amo...
