Věra Špinarová, born 22 December 1951, was a Czech singer renowned for her powerful alto voice and enduring popularity. Born in Pohořelice and raised in Ostrava, she began her music career at 15 and performed with bands including Flamingo, Majestic, the Orchestr Ivo Pavlíka, and Speciál. Her solo career produced 13 studio albums, beginning with Andromeda (1972), while Meteor lásky (1982).
