Venom is a British heavy metal band formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1978,
initially known as Guillotine and later Dwarfstar before adopting Venom. Their
lineup included Jeff "Mantas" Dunn on guitar, Anthony "Abaddon" Bray on drums,
and Conrad "Cronos" Lant on bass and vocals. Their first two albums, Welcome to
Hell (1981) and Black Metal (1982), significantly influenced the development of
