Vanderli Catarina, known professionally as Vander Lee, was a Brazilian
singer-songwriter born on March 3, 1966. He began his career singing in bars and
festivals in Belo Horizonte and other cities of Minas Gerais. In 1987, he joined
the band Morro Velho and recorded an EP that was never released. Vander Lee's
subsequent albums included Ao Vivo (2003), Naquele Verbo Agora (2005) Faro
(2009), and No Balanço Do Balaio (2010). Vander Lee died on August 5, 2016, in
Belo Horizonte due to a heart attack.
