Van Coke Kartel
Van Coke Kartel was a South African rock band. Their debut self-titled album Van
Coke Kartel was released in November 2007. The band's second album, Waaksaam &
Wakker, followed in 2008 with varied instrumentation and a ballad. In March
2010, they released Skop, Skiet & Donner, which included two English-language
covers of "Maniac" by Michael Sembello and "Cocaine" by J.J. Cale. The band
continued to release albums including Wie's Bang in November 2011 and Bloed,
Sweet & Trane in September 2013. Van Coke Kartel performed their final tour in
2017.
