Valeria Lynch, born María Cristina Lancelotti on January 7, 1952, in Villa
Urquiza, Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a singer. At age 14, she began studying
singing and drama, making her television debut in 1969 on La Botica del Ángel.
Lynch's breakthrough came in the early 1970s when she performed in the musical
Hair at Teatro Argentino. She released her first album, Valeria Lynch, in 1977,
which included her version of "Mujer Sola". Throughout the 1980s, Lynch's
success spread across Latin America with albums like Capricornio (1980) and
