Tymon Tymanski
Ryszard Waldemar “Tymon” Tymański, born on September 30, 1968, in Gdańsk,
Poland, is a Polish musician, composer, songwriter, writer, actor, and
filmmaker. He began playing guitar before switching to bass and became involved
with the Gdańsk alternative arts collective Totart in the 1980s. In 1988, he
co-founded Miłość, one of the central groups of the emerging Polish yass
movement, a term Tymański helped popularize for music combining jazz
improvisation with punk, rock, and experimental influences. He later founded
