Twenty88 was formed in 2016 by American rapper Big Sean and R&B
singer‑songwriter Jhené Aiko, both already established on the U.S. music scene.
The duo announced their partnership in late March 2016, announcing a joint
venture with Def Jam Recordings, GOOD Music, and ARTium Recordings. Their debut
studio album, TWENTY88, was released on April 1 2016; it peaked at number five
on the Billboard 200 and topped the Billboard Digital Albums, Top R&B/Hip‑Hop
