Twennynine, an American R&B group founded in 1979 by jazz fusion drummer Lenny White after leaving Return to Forever, focused on commercial funk and R&B. White assembled a core lineup that included keyboardist Skip Anderson, bassist Barry Johnson, guitarist Eddie Martinez, and rotating vocalists such as Lynn Davis and Carla Vaughn.
