Troy Harold Seals, also known as Troy Seals, born on November 16, 1938, in the
United States of America, was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He
released his debut album, Now Presenting, in 1973. Known primarily as a
songwriter, his songs have been recorded by numerous artists, including Joe
Cocker, Eric Clapton, Nancy Sinatra, Randy Travis, Conway Twitty, Hank Williams
Jr., Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, and Jerry Lee Lewis. Seals had three co-written
songs nominated for the Country Music Association "Song of the Year" award:
