Trotsky Vengarán
One of the most popular acts to emerge from Uruguay's punk rock scene, Trotsky
Vengarán was formed in Montevideo in 1991 by singer Guillermo Peluffo,
guitarists Hugo Díaz and Ignacio Guasch, bass player Marcelo Abreu, and drummer
Guillermo Perazzo. Heavily influenced by groups like AC/DC, Sex Pistols, and
Beastie Boys, as well as by the first wave of hardcore punk bands, they made
their official debut in 1994 with the album Salud, Dinero y Dinero, followed by
their first massive show opening for The Ramones later that year. After
