Birgit Rose-Marie Anlert, known professionally as Towa Carson, is a Swedish
schlager singer. Born on March 31, 1936, in Eskilstuna, Sweden, she won an
amateur singing competition in 1954. Her early career included performing with
Leif Kronlund's jazz dance orchestra and achieving success with the 1959 single
“De tre klockorna”, which reached number 4 on Swedish charts. Her major hits
include “Spara sista dansen för mig”, “Jag måste ge mig av” — which spent 17
weeks on Svensktoppen and reached the top position — and “Visa mig hur man går
