TOPS is an indie rock band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Formed in 2011 by Jane
Penny (vocals, keyboards) and David Carriere (guitar), the group emerged
following the dissolution of their previous synthpop band, Silly Kissers. Their
debut album, Tender Opposites, was released in 2012, received positive reviews
and was named one of Gorilla vs Bear's top albums of that year. The group's
second studio effort, Picture You Staring, followed in 2014, featuring artwork
