Jorge Antônio Santos da Silva, better known as Tony Salles, is a Brazilian
pagode/axé singer from Salvador (with deep ties to the Periperi neighborhood)
whose career began on the Bahia circuit before he became a nationally recognized
Carnaval frontman. After an early stint with the group Cafuné, he gained broader
visibility as a vocalist in É o Tchan and later sang with Raghatoni, sharpening
a style built for trio elétrico energy and call-and-response hooks. In 2014 Tony
Salles took over as the lead singer of Parangolé, stepping into a band that had
already hit mainstream Brazil ...
