Tones on Tail was a British post-punk band formed in 1982 as a musical side
project by Daniel Ash, guitarist of the gothic rock band Bauhaus. The group
initially consisted of Ash and Glenn Campling, with drummer Kevin Haskins
joining later. Their debut EP Tones on Tail was released on 4AD in 1982,
followed by their first single "There's Only One!". In 1983, after Bauhaus
disbanded, Tones on Tail became a full-time project for Ash, Campling, and
