Tomuya is the stage name of Japanese singer Endō Tomuya, born in Tokyo. He
studied arts including nô and haïku before starting a career as a singer and
musical director in Japan. His discography began with the recording La Nuit de
l'errance (1982). Tomuya relocated to France in 1992 and performed at Paris
venues including Le Limonaire and La Vieille Grille. Under the musical direction
of Angelo Badalamenti, he recorded the album Ruby Dragonflies in 1996 in New
