Todd Sickafoose, born in 1974 in San Francisco, California, is an American jazz
and rock musician, composer, and producer/engineer. He began playing double bass
at 13 after seeing Edgar Meyer perform and studied with Charlie Haden and Mel
Powell at California Institute of the Arts. Sickafoose's career advanced when he
joined Ani DiFranco’s band in 2004. His album Tiny Resistors was released in
