Tinariwen
A collective of Tuareg musicians, Tinariwen produce spellbinding music of
undeniable expressive power. A song of exile and hope, this Saharan blues has
had a strong echo in the West with Amassakoul, released in 2004, and Aman Iman,
in 2007. In 2011, the acoustic Tassili returns to the source of Tinariwen's
beginnings, which have since become a worldwide reference for African blues. Due
to the still delicate political situation in Mali, Tinariwen is forced to record
