Timo Aulis Rautiainen, born on January 25, 1963, in Sulkava, Finland, is a
Finnish musician and actor. He graduated from the University of Jyväskylä as a
teacher of special education before embarking on his music career. In 1996,
Rautiainen formed Trio Niskalaukaus. The band's breakup in November 2006 led to
Rautiainen's solo career, starting with the album Sarvivuori (2006), which
featured collaborations with Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish and Alexander
Kuoppala of Children of Bodom. His subsequent albums include Loppuun ajettu
(2007) and Joululaulut (2018).
