Tim Bendzko (born April 9, 1985 in East Berlin) is a German singer-songwriter who has been passionate about music from an early age. The man from Köpenick was already playing guitar at the age of 11 and wrote his first songs at 16. In 2009, he entered the Söhne Mannheims talent competition Söhne gesucht and won. Soon afterwards, he signed a record deal with Sony Music and released his first single "Nur Noch Kurz Die Welt Retten" in May 2011, which immediately reached number 2 in the German charts.
