Thurston Harris
Thurston Harris, born July 11, 1931, in Indianapolis, Indiana, was an American
singer and songwriter best known for his 1957 hit "Little Bitty Pretty One." He
began recording in 1953 as the vocalist for the Los Angeles R&B group the
Lamplighters, which later evolved into the Sharps. After signing with Aladdin
Records in 1957, Harris's version of "Little Bitty Pretty One" reached number 6
on the Billboard Hot 100, sold over one million copies, and earned a gold disc.
