Three the Hard Way
3 The Hard Way, a hip hop group from New Zealand, formed in 1994. The group
initially consisted of Chris 'Mighty Boy C' Maiai, Mike 'DJ Mike Mixx' Paton and
Lance 'DJ Damage' Manuel. Their first release was "Hip Hop Holiday", issued on
Deepgrooves Entertainment in 1994. The song topped the New Zealand singles chart
for three weeks and sold over 7,500 copies. It also peaked at Number 17 on the
ARIA singles chart in Australia. Following this success, their debut album Old
