Thorns, a Norwegian black metal band, was formed in 1989 by Snorre Westvold Ruch
and Marius Vold. Notable members have included Bård "Faust" Eithun on drums and
Aldrahn on vocals. Initially known as Stigma Diabolicum, they recorded their
first demo under that name before changing to Thorns in 1991. The band's early
demos Grymyrk (1991) and Trøndertun (1992) significantly influenced the
Norwegian black metal scene. In 1994, Snorre Westvold Ruch was sentenced to
