Thomas Fey, born November 9, 1960, in Germany, was a German conductor and
pianist who studied at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende
Kunst Mannheim. He received further conducting training under Nikolaus
Harnoncourt and Leonard Bernstein. While still a student, he founded the
Schlierbacher Motettenchor (1985) and the Schlierbacher Kammerorchester (1987),
from which the Heidelberger Motettenchor and the Heidelberger Sinfoniker emerged
