The Zen Circus is an Italian rock band formed in 1994 in Pisa by Andrea Appino
and Marcello Bruzzi. Initially known as The Zen, they released the self-produced
album About Thieves, Farmers, Tramps and Policemen (1998). After renaming the
group, they released their first official album, Visited by the Ghost of Blind
Willie Lemon Juice Namington IV (2001). The lineup evolved to include
Massimiliano "Ufo" Schiavelli and Karim Qqru, who replaced Bruzzi on drums.
