The Union Underground was formed in 1996 in San Antonio, Texas, by vocalist and
guitarist Bryan Scott, guitarist Patrick Kennison, bassist John Moyer, and
drummer Josh Memolo. Their early work was produced in a home studio, Studio
Underground, where they released a cassette EP that attracted the attention of
Hollywood manager James Jeda and led to a contract with Portrait Records, a
