The Temprees were an American soul vocal trio formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in
the mid‑1960s by Jasper “Jabbo” Phillips, Harold “Scotty” Scott, and Deljuan
“Del” Calvin, who met while attending junior high school. Their early
performances in local clubs led to a signing with Stax Records’ subsidiary We
Produce in 1970, where producer Josephine “Jo” Bridges introduced them to a
