The String Cheese Incident
The String Cheese Incident, a jam band from Crested Butte and Telluride,
Colorado, formed in 1993. The original members—Bill Nershi, Michael Kang,
Michael Travis, and Keith Moseley—first played together as the Blue String
Cheese Band before renaming themselves to the String Cheese Incident. In 1996,
they moved to Boulder, Colorado, and added Kyle Hollingsworth on keyboards.
Their debut album, Born on the Wrong Planet, was released in 1997 under their
